TF Quest Release 16 Version 1.0 - The Way Of The Future (Hotfixed)

So, yeah, let's discuss the elephant in the room. We held a poll with SubscribeStar subscribers, and overwhelmingly, people agreed that we should do our best to distance ourselves from the word 'trap', especially as it is increasingly being weaponised by transphobes. When we were working on the Godot port (which unfortunately didn't end up working out, mainly due to differences in priorities / opinions on how to keep Shame Games alive), we came up with the idea of calling it TF Quest, to keep the acronym TQ but move away from the dated term for a crossdresser. So, well, as requested by our subscribers, we have gone ahead and made the change.

That's actually probably the least controversial change we've made this patch. Because, in line with new SubscribeStar guidelines, you will also no longer find any animal-adjacent enemies, watersports, hypnosis, and significantly less dubcon and academic institution vibes in the publicly released version of the game.

We lost nearly a whole month of income thanks to SubscribeStar having to suddenly change their payment processor, and the new one seems to be adjacent to the same payment processors that caused Patreon to get super strict and eventually delete a lot of pages, including ours, and we CANNOT afford for this to happen again, so that's the approach we're taking.

Yeah, the whole name change doesn't seem like such a big deal now, does it.

Well before all of you degenerates get your pitchforks out, I suggest you try making sure there's a file called "legacy" (or "legacy.glkdata" if you use Windows Git) in the same folder as TQ (before launching the game), and lo and behold, hopefully you'll be satisfied that for now, there's still a way to get the stuff you like. (There is no way to get this to change in the middle of a run, due to it changing benefits points numbers and setup requirements and stuff.)

We plan on being increasingly subtle and quiet about any naughty backdoors, however, so note this little secret down and discuss it amongst yourselves far away from here, please and thank you.

The final piece of bad news is that the combination of the drama with the latest payment processor policy changes and also our bank getting all fussy means that we spent a lot more of the last couple of months than we'd like carefully changing and removing content in the game rather than adding new content to the game, so this changelist is gonna be a bit less long than you'd hoped for.

There are now a bunch of sex toys that can appear in the buttcam window. And you should be able to click on them (and underwear) to examine them just like in the main clothing window.

Fixed a bug where TG fetish wasn't visible in the fetish menu when you played as a male, and infamy fetish wasn't visible when you played as a female. (i.e. the last item in the row)

(Optionally) permanent buttcam window! The clothing window's buttcam, that only used to appear underneath the model when you were wearing special underwear, now is there all the time by default. That's becuase now it has images for all underwear, and also varies by asshole and vaginal gape. So you can see what your holes and underwear look like from behind at all times. Aika has found that they've most enjoyed playing by disabling the automatic switching of clothing and body windows, and just sticking with the clothing window for most of the game, just briefly switching to the body window every now and then to get a fresh mental image of body shape.

Spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to improve the priority order of clickable buttons that appear when you click on objects. Sorry to anyone who has learned the default positions of some buttons as a sort of second nature and has to relearn the new default positions.

That's not a weapon, you silly bimbo

When you say yes to picking up a bottle of lube when the game has warned you that it'll affect your appearance, and you're not holding a weapon or bag in your hand, if you get a bad luck roll, you'll find that the bottle of lube sticks to your hand as a cursed weapon. It doesn't affect your slap damage, but it can't be removed from your hand, or used, until the curse is lifted. (And it's significantly more damaging to your appearance than a lube just sitting in your inventory).

No more map exploits

The map icon for tentacle breeders only shows up once you first enter the room.

When you first find a tentacle breeder, if you have 0 magic power, you get 3 magic power for free, but also the first tentacle monster is spawned immediately. If you already have even 1 magic power, you don't get any magic power for free, but the breeder just becomes 'active', and doesn't spit out its first monster immediately.

Good idea, person on our Discord server

Changed the sissy curse you get for losing your anal virginity before your penile virginity. The old version happened too frequently and just jam-packed you full of whatever clothing all could fit on you at the same time. The new version happens less frequently, it sends clashing non-sissy clothing to the wardrobe (so less fashion disasters and a wider range of clothing that can appear), and the clothing that is spawned is not cursed, but 'strength stealing', so you can remove it if you want, but then it'll sap your strength.

Dumb witch giving impossible tasks

The witch can no longer choose the dungeon shopkeeper or the final boss Nintendolls as your assassination target.

Consistency with the butt window

The clothing window now displays 7 different levels of vaginal gape.

A Royal Training what?

The academy region has been re-skinned as a Royal Training Facility. The kingdoms of this world send their princesses to prestigious training halls to learn how to be the perfect royal idols and/or cumdumps that they were born to be.

Notable Fixes

Fixed a bug where, for non-donators, the optional text settings menu was totally bugged out.

Fixed a bug where setting bondage protection to 'mostly enabled' actually gave you pretty much all the benefits of 'fully enabled'.

Fixed a bug where the internal clock was being checked incorrectly, and so the player would normally never squirt milk but instead just constantly produce milk and gain breast size.

Fixed a bug where the training facility NPCs were still freaking out upon seeing you without an armband while you were incarcerated in the dungeon.

Fixed a bug where the facial machine accessed via the elevator could get you softlocked if your hole(s) weren't accessible.

Never skip arm day

Only certain Extra Credit Zone predicaments now use the 'realistic arms' mode where you automatically partially hide the most humiliating parts of your appearance with your hands - in general, it's only the ones where there's an interesting decision to be made over whether to cover yourself or use your hands / arms to engage with the predicament. You'll be informed whenever 'realistic arms' mode is active. In all other predicaments, you no longer can just get by with a mediocre appearance by streaking through the entire thing naked! Your genitals will count as being on *full* display.

Breaking News!

A new pink diamond ranked training session. To get this session to occur, you must have bukkake fetish enabled, there must be at least one other trainee at your rank, your breasts must be at least partially concealed, and you must not have any cum on your hair, breasts or face, and you must be able to orgasm and not in chastity.

You must read out news lines to a live audience while the other trainees try to make you stumble over your words or move your hands by sucking off the men in the room and spitting the cum on your face. They also get to go under the table and distract you down there. There's a minigame to play, a bit like the extra credit zone maths predicament, where you have a time limit to enter the correct options. But rather than it being a single difficult sum, you have to find all the correct words in the sentence, one after another. The more you're hurt, made to orgasm, and/or have cum obscuring your vision, the more red herring words are added, and with cum in your eyes, characters missing from the words too.

You always get promoted, but the number of infractions you get decides how long you'll be stuck with your hands locked behind your back after the session... With no further chance to clean up.

You can now learn a spell to summon a succubus familiar. Princesses and magical girls immediately learn this spell, as long as their raw sex addiction (i.e. before any temporary modifiers like clothing effects) is 8/20 or higher. You can also sometimes get the familiar by praying at the golden altar.

Upon summoning the familiar, many (probably literally most) of your bimbo stats, including body shape, revert to much more 'normal' levels. But from now on, you have a succubus familiar to, err, deal with. She can be useful at a times - you can learn the really valuable skill from her which removes the breast size penalty from your slap attacks, and you can order her to keep a look-out for bandages, lube, drinks or snacks. (But when she finds them, she might not give them to you for free).

But furthermore, she has plenty of things that will annoy you. Every time you physically touch (e.g. if she decides to boop you on the nose while you're on your knees, or if you trip into her), some of her bimbo stats get transferred back to you. She's constantly getting aroused and then getting up to mischief - flirting, stimulating and having sex with the NPCs, getting cum everywhere, accidentally leaking cum onto you if you're on your knees underneath her, and so on.

Depending on fetish options, she can lay eggs which quickly hatch into annoying tentacle-adjacent NPCs, or even get pregnant. Don't trip and fall into her belly when she's full term pregnant - or you might find that one of those crazy magic pregnancy swaps happens, and you're the one about to give birth. People with lactation enabled will likely get frustrated by how frequently and consistently she sets the milking benches to the '+' position.

She joins you in your region as soon as you move past the warp portal (or use it to travel). So if you want to avoid her as much as possible, use the stairs.

She is a work in progress, and will be getting more content and more varied flavour over time.
